- The city of Fort McMurray in Alberta has recently suffered the most from a large wildfire that spread across the city and province. The fire even spread from Alberta to Manitoba. Firemen from Minnesota are helping protect homes in Manitoba. Scientists say this wildfire was caused by rising temperatures, dying trees, and earlier melting of snow. The city of Fort McMurray is currently being evacuated due to the wildfire. Thankfully there were no fatalities from the fire.
- Canada's new Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, was recently appointed to office on November 4, 2015.
